A specialty of our family

What is the Crestó? The Crestó is a neutered kid, a special species of white goat. In the 50s in The Ports there were 30 herds of goats, about 5000 animals, that later started to become extinct. Aware of the circumstances, Salvador Miralles, who was a shepherd when he was a child, promoted the initiative to recover the species.

The Crestó goat grazes in semi-wild areas in the mountains which makes this place the perfect habitat to achieve one of the most delicious and natural meats. Cooked patiently like our ancestors did in the XIII century, the marinated Crestó, is our star dish.
